The entrance areas of our most recent project developments were upgraded with unique murials by the artist Birgit Graschopf. She works as a freelance artist and has specialised in photographic wall exposures. For this purpose she exposes black and white negative images in an analogue process directly on walls or in our case directly on wooden panels. For the two residential buildings at Murlingengasse 62 and Zieglergasse 52 in Vienna the artist produced selected, large-sized black and white photos on wooden panels in the darkroom of her studio. Each of these exposures is unique!
The artist’s approach is a spatial expansion of the entrance areas and the creation of new perspectives. In her selection of motives Birgit Graschopf refers to existing architecture and the building materials and partly orientates herself on the Viennese Art Nouveau. She deals with line, form and proportion in image and room design. Her murials create a special atmosphere in the respective entrance areas of the residential buildings from now on.
